Huck Fin 1-10

In the chapters 1-10 it talks about how Huck lives with mrs watson, and she is very religious. It also talks about Hucks best friend Tom Sawyer, and how Huck really looks up to and idolizes Tom. My favorite part of these chapters was when they talked about how Tom wanted to play robbers all teh time and they had a whole plan. I also felt bad for Huck because his father is a drunk and should not have gotte back custuty of Huck becaus when he is drunk he puts Huck in dangerous situations. I also feel bad for Huck because he is trying to learn and get an education and Hucks dad says that he isnt aloud to and threatens him not to go to school. and locks him in a cabin.

Perfect Chemistry Part II

They end up liking eachother and Alex invited her to his family wedding and she sneaks over to go and when she gets home she trys to play it off that she went to the gym but her mom doesnt beleive her and so she got busted and her mother said she was never aloud to see him again. but she does anyways. she opens up to him and lets him meet her sister shell (she never lets anyone meet her) and it was a sucess because shelley loved him and they played checkers together. She breaks up with her boyfriend of over a year Collin and starts to date Alex. Collin immediatly starts going out with her friend and fellow cheerleader. Brittany gets bumped down to Co Captin and darlene who was Co Captin is not the captin and going out with her boyfriend. she becomes closer with her real friends and finally opens up to them.

Perfect Chemisty

The book i chose for the reading was Perfect Chemistry, it is about a boy and a girl from completely diffrent parts of town and in completely different social classes. the girl is rich and the boy is poor. she is white and he is mexicano. It starts off by Her almost hitting him and his ex girlfriend in the school parking lot. he was on a motorycyle in the parking space and so it looked open and so she pulled in and there he was. she hates him already and he goes and yells at her. he develops a crush on her but the feelings arent mutural. this is an amazing book it is so good i am having a hard time putting it down.

The Ineresting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano

This story was so sad. but the first thing that i noticed about the story that was horrible was when the smelles and suffocation factor got really bad on the boat and slaves started to die all that people were concerned about was the owners that paid for the slaves that had died. they didnt actually care about the people dying. the grosses part of the story was the nessicry tubs. and when the childred often fell into them. that is so sad and gross.. its also sad that when they put people on the deck they had to put chains on them. but thankfully Equiano was just a young boy so they didnt put chains on him. it was terrible how they caught so many fish and then when they couldnt finished them all they threw the remaing fish back into the water instead of giving them to the slave they would rather waste them and throw dead fish back.

A Journey Through Texas

I didnt mind reading this story it wasnt so bad. It was very strange that the spaniards were lost in the desert and they were ordering around the indians. this didnt make sence to me because why did the indians listen? they knew the land better and they would have eaily gotten the spaniards lost and then ditched them but they didnt. also i found it degrading to women that they sent women to check if there was danger upahead because apparently you could trade them easily. so they pretty much didnt care about the women at all. Another thing that was sad that so many of the people died and the spaniard didnt even really care all they wanted was to get to new mexico. the indians hepled them find and cook safe food and they got no gratitude. all they got was anger and demands.

This story was terrible it didnt make sense and i could barely read it because it was just so boring. In the story it said "in the roots mind etc" how could a tree root have a mind of its own is what i want to know. One thing that i though was pretty cool though was they put an eagle on top of the tree so that the bird could see if there was any evil or bad things coming towards them. They used the tree for medachine food and alot of other things people needed to stay alive and be healthy. The Great Creator of the tree lays in the heaven and he looks over everything he makes. That to me is like our god and like our creation story that God made everything and he lives in heaven and he looks down on us and watches us.

This story was weird and not good. In the beggining of the story they started off by the man and the woman washing themselves with cornmeal. the woman with yellow corn mean and the man with white corn mean. this comfused me because why would they use cornmean to wash themselves, how clean can that possibly make you? why wouldnt they just wash themselves with water from a well or a pond or something? Another thing i didnt really like or understand was how the god put down a yellow and a white feather and then the wind blew and the yellow feather turned into a woman and the white turned into a man. like thats doesnt even make sence and sounds really strang and unrealistic. Another thing that i didnt like but was common back then was just becase the man and the woman were the first man and woman that auto ment that they had to be husband and wife. but what if they hated eachother? would they still have chosen to be together because they are the first and only man and woman couple?
